Colorado Tech Online is pleased to announce the addition of a Bachelor of Science in Court Reporting for students currently certified as Registered Professional Reporters (RPR) by the National Court Reporters Association.

This program is designed for those wishing to complete their Bachelor's degree and take their careers to the next level.
In response to this growing need for knowledgeable, skilled professionals in an interesting and diverse field of employment, courses are focused on teaching students how to: (1) Read and write stenography in real time on a computer-compatible stenography machine with proficiency and accuracy; (2) Demonstrate appropriate knowledge of the courts and the civil and criminal systems of law; (3) Prepare accurate transcripts for a variety of court proceedings that includes multiple speakers, witnesses and technical material utilizing a CAT system; (4) Use technology appropriate to the court reporting profession and many more career-related skills.
This Bachelor of Science degree program features courses including: Psychology, Sociology, American Government, Medical Terminology, Criminal Law, The Laws of Evidence, Civil Litigation, Contracts and others. Coursework is structured to emphasize communication skills, management, and professional skills along with technical knowledge and expertise to prepare students for positions of responsibility in the day-to-day workings of the legal system.
