As a patient care technician you will work alongside doctors and other healthcare professionals to oversee and monitor patients. Your education will combine basic medical knowledge and hands-on skills gathered in the classroom and laboratory.

The Patient Care Technician program will provide you with education to perform clinical tasks such as collecting blood, performing electrocardiograms (EKGs), completing catheterizations, and recording vital signs and patient treatments.

You will receive instruction in anatomy and physiology, understanding body functions and related illnesses. You will also have a thorough understanding of medical terminology to aid in the collection and documentation of patient data.
