Career Outlook
As a Nurse - You Can Make a Difference.
Building on 120 years of history, Chamberlain College of Nursing continues to be at the forefront of quality nursing education. It's our goal to not only prepare clinically proficient nursing professionals, but to take education one step further in helping students foster personal growth, career mobility, community service and leadership.
Few careers offer the rewards, stimulation and diverse job opportunities of nursing. Nursing is consistently ranked as one of the top professions. Nurses are now in great demand. In fact, it is estimated that there will be a shortage of over one million nurses nationwide* by the year 2020. Yet the capacity to educate and train new nurses is lacking. More than 40,285 students were turned away from U.S. nursing schools last year due to lack of classroom space. Responding to the nation's critical and growing nursing shortage, Chamberlain will increase access to nursing education by expanding online programs and continuing to open new campuses in major markets nationwide. *U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Monthly Labor Review November 2007
